To make it easier for you to read and understand our privacy policy, we wrote it in plain language and tried to keep it as short as possible.

We take your privacy seriously. We will not send spam and we will not share your contact details with anyone without your consent.

Information we collect

When you Sign On, you submit information such as your name and email address. As part of your personal profile, you may choose to submit additional information such as age, hobbies, and interests, and other content, such as photos.

For security purposes - and to improve your user experience - we also collect other non-personally identifiable data, which may include your IP address and what browser you are using and the speed of your internet connection.

Use of Information

The personal information that we will display on your profile will be limited to your name, the image (avatar) you upload or choose to represent yourself and whatever you choose to write about yourself in your bio. Anything else will depend on the preferences you set in your account. We will use your name so that we can personalise your experience. We will use your email address to send you updates about the campaign and we will use your email address for security reasons to confirm that you are who you say you are. You can control the types and frequencies of all non core emails you choose to receive but we reserve the right to send occasional emails pertaining to the functioning of the website.

We may use the non-personally identifiable information, like your IP address, to statistically analyse site usage and to customise our site's content, layout and services. The resulting information will allow us to improve our site and better understand and serve you and other users.

We will only disclose your personally identifiable information if we convinced that we are required to do so by law, or to protect the rights and property of Greenpeace NZ Inc. or the public. 

Reviewing and Changing Your Profile

You can review, revise or delete your personal profile at any time.
