PUB CRAWL!!!!!! WOO!!!

SIGN ON AUCKLAND PUB CRAWL!!!

Next Friday 31st July the Sign On campaign is hitting the town!

Come along for some fun while we get out in the local pubs and on the streets, getting more signatures as well as building up awareness of the Sign On campaign. It will be a really good night and a way for all Greenpeace staff and Sign On signature gatherers to work together and have fun!

WHERE AND WHEN?
A free bus will be leaving Greenpeace office at 11 Akiraho St, Mt Eden at 6:00 PM. We will be going around various pubs and bars in Auckland and will arrive back at Greenpeace at about 9:00pm (unless you want to stay out!).

Exact timeline of venues is:
6:00= leave Greenpeace, 11 Akiraho St Mt Eden by bus to Bond St, Kingsland
6:15- 7:00= Bond St Lounge and Bar (then bus to Queen St, drop off at corner of Queen and Wellesley)
7:15-7:45= Walk with music, forms and banners down Queen St to Princes Wharf
7:45- 8:15= Provedor, Princes Wharf off Quay Street (then bus to Imperial, 95 - 97 Customs Street West, Viaduct)
8:20- 9:00= Imperial Hotel (then bus back to Greenpeace)

WHY?
The pub crawl is not an excuse to get pissed but a great opportunity to get out and about in Auckland. While you can choose to buy a few drinkies on the way the aim is to get out on the streets and communicating with the Friday after-work-drinks crowd and getting them to Sign On. We will be hanging up posters in pubs, giving out special Sign On coasters, leaflets, stickers and more. There will be live music on the way and competitions for the most Sign On’s throughout the night.

Please email Gareth on ghughes@greenpeace.org if you want to join in the fun by Wednesday 29th so we can confirm numbers with both the bus company and the pubs. Get others involved too, everyone is welcome as long as they are going to collect signatures for the campaign.

UNDER 18’S AND WELL OVER 18’S
Sorry as we are going to pubs under 18’s won’t be able to come along, but we will be out on the street with banners and music so you are more than welcome to meet us in town. We will be walking down Queen St (start at corner with Wellesley St) down to a bar at Princes Wharf getting signatures along the way.
Well over 18’s  are also more than welcome to join in. Although it is a pub crawl we will not be focusing on the campaign rather than partying and we need as many people as possible.
